Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering / Contract Management

Provide maximum support to Project Management in order to facilitate the completion of project within schedule and budget working taking into consideration the constraints of the contract

Experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering and Contract Management & Administration in the Middle East, South East Asia, West / Central Africa and the USA.

Projects included fast track construction of both new developments and major upgrades of existing oil field facilities in tropical jungle, desert and offshore locations; chemical and refinery works; power plants, general civil engineering and water transmission schemes. Works have consisted of fabrication and installation of offshore drilling & production facilities; installation of offshore oil & gas pipelines;installation of major cross-country transmission pipelines for oil/gas and water; installation of gathering systems and secondary recovery systems; FPSO conversion works; construction of refinery expansions, gas / oil / water processing facilities; general fabrication works and the construction of combined cycle power generation plants

Leeds College of Building: City and Guilds; Ordinary National Certificate; Higher National Certificate

Responsibilities have included pre and post contract award duties on Project and Construction Management Teams with particular responsibility for Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, general Project Controls, Management and Administration of main and sub-contracts utilising bespoke & NEC forms of contracts; preparation of contract documentation, procedures and contract correspondence. Works have included ensuring contract compliance, measurement of works, preparation of interim and final accounts, preparation of claims and the monitoring of construction costs including trend analysis and forecasting, the preparation of construction budgets and cost estimates. Positively engages in HSE issues and activities.
