• Develops welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.
• Conducts research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures, improve existing or develop new welding equipment, develop new or modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures, discover new patterns of welding phenomena, or to correlate and substantiate hypotheses.
• Prepares technical reports as a result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.
• Establishes welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre- and post-heating requirements that involve use of complex alloys, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post- heating requirements.
• Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.
• Supervision and inspection of the fabrication and erection process. At the same time surveillance of the welder tests, counseling about welding, visual and dimensional inspection of welds according to the European standards & procedures, paint & coating control and reporting all the fabrication process to the client.
Also I worked at main office for periodic controls of powerhouse. During this project thickness measurements of pipelines, exchanger maintenance, paint and polyurethane coating control of pipes, dimensional check of project material, etc were executed.
• Supervision of all mechanical quality control activities at 400 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project. Main responsibilities are: HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) and Centerline (Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine, Generator and Condenser) erection activities, BOP piping works, fire protection piping works, monitoring of welding, post weld heat treatment (PWHT), HVAC installation and equipment erection, steel structure erection, cladding, painting, insulation, coordination of Non Destructive Examination (NDE/NDT) activities and welder tests, coordination of all walk downs, preparation & follow up of punch lists, etc.
