working as a Piping engineer

• Responsible for Piping erection operations and pipe support installation in accordance with schedule, Procedures, Specifications, Priorities and Availability of Construction Drawings
• Plans, Organises and executes Fabrication and Erection in accordance with Project Schedule and erection sequence.
• Coordinates the activities of contractor in their area of responsibility and monitors their activities to ensure that construction proceeds according to technical specifications, within the construction schedule, and in accordance with applicable safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Ensure the Productivity and Quality is maintained by subordinates.
• Coordinate with other Disciplines in site.
• Request spools, Supports, Fittings and Field erection materials as per schedule
• Responsible for carrying out Mechanical Clearance, Conducting Hydro and Pneumatic tests, fulfilling commissioning and Pre-Commissioning requirements for the project.
• Review technical documentation / drawings / projects / schedules. Responsible for safety and ensure that company safety regulation are applied in all areas.
• Self checking of isometric drawings against Master P & ID considering the integrity of the design base on project requirements, material specification, good design philosophy and practice.
• Responsible for line checking the punch items before hydro test as per P&ID, and ISO drawing prior for testing
• Responsible for counter checking by Isometric/Piping Plan drawings for spool erected in the correct location, orientation, alignment and plumpness.
• Organizing and allocation of right manpower for fabrication & erection.
• Coordinating with Planning for work schedules and priorities.
• Coordinating with Safety and QA/ QC dept. for smooth functioning of works
• Reviewing of the progress on daily & weekly basis and analyze the productivity of Resources.
• Re-conciliation of the works executed on regular basis.
• Follows the work permit system and accepts the permits.

Piping engineer certification from college of engineering, Trivandrum, Kerala

 Well versed with use of computer for office use

 Familiar with software packages like windows, MS Word, EXCEL

 Completed Autocad drafting & plotting in college level

 Completed piping engineering course which include design of pipe lines, pressure vessel design, NDT processes, testing of pipe lines and ASME, ASTM , API.

 To read isometric drawings with MTO & Supports and work accordingly
 Familiar with International Design code like ASME, ANSI, API
 Proficient in study piping and equipment layouts development and plot plan development
