1. Overall management of the Procurement, Stores and materials distribution department. That includes a close co-ordination with Finance and Production departments on strategic production, budget, procurement, inventory plans and approvals, indenting, tendering, contract agreements (incl RRC/BOA), post contract administration (incl deliveries, inspection, payments & claims settlement), day to day purchases across the globe, inventory management and shipments through air/sea, preparation of reports and data including procurement & inventory reports. ISO AS 9100-2001 compliance and bring improvement in the overall supply chain efficiency.

2. Supervision of allocated budget plans and judicious expenditure of the funds in the area of contracts management and daily procurement to get best value of money, sustain the annual production targets and ensure un-interrupted availability of components, material and resources to the production departments. Specific tasking included preparation of annual budget plans vis-a-vis production goals and commercial projects, demands forecasting, indenting, tendering, bids and supplier’s evaluation and approval, contract negotiations, contracting and post contract administration, sourcing parts/suppliers, purchase order management, deliveries, their inspection and invoicing/payments. General responsibilities were to supervise/manage the procurement team and suppliers, close liaison with Production, Accounts departments and suppliers, assist Quality Department in maintaining mandatory records, QMS re-certification and suppliers audit/compliance.

3. Management of around 26 warehouses, 0.1 Million stored parts and 56 distribution points in a sophisticated and certified computerized inventory management environment. Specific responsibility was to maintain warehouses as per standard ISO and quality objectives, scheduled and un scheduled demands management, materials issue & receipts, MSL/MSL, stocks replenishment and serviceability, periodic cycle counting, requirements & distribution planning, shipment through sea, air and couriers, close liaise and meetings with Production & Planning units for critical materials status and their immediate deliveries, generation of stock reports and regular reviews, management of 100 plus stores employees and to assist Quality department in maintaining mandatory records/ QMS re-certification.
