Carry out overhauls and troubleshooting in caterpillar diesel engines. Currently work in rotation basis at onshore oil field “Canadian Nexen”. Job includes but not limited to carrying out overhauls of Caterpillar 3500 series engines.
Skill set:
a) Hands on experience in trouble shooting of engine complaints in the 3306, 3406 & 3500 series and with exposure in usage of the Caterpillar Electronic Technician Service Tool.
b) Knowledge and expertise in assembly & disassembly procedures of the engine and other sub-assemblies like the turbo charger, water pump, after cooler & oil cooler assy.
c) Carried out Top & Central Structural O/H and Major O/H of 3306, 3406, 3500 engines.
d) Experience in carrying out the CAT maintenance procedures like the Valve lash settings,injector setting, fuel rack synchronization & fuel setting in the 3500A-series engine.
