1. RESPONSIBILITIES (PARCO)

Coordinated all types of inspection activities during construction phase of PARCO Mid Country Refinery.

„« Worked as a Maintenance Lead Technologist/Supervisor

Involved in all commissioning activities of stationary & rotary 04 years experience as a Lead Technologist and 07 years as a Supervisor in Mechanical Maintenance Department with Pak-Arab Refinery, a joint venture between the Governments of Pakistan and Abu-Dhabi, has the refining capacity of 100,000 barrels per day (4.5 million metric tons per annum) and commissioned in October 2000. Main responsibilities are mentioned below:

1. Handling daily planned maintenance activities and trouble shooting jobs, hands on involvement in all types of routine equipment related to problems.
2. Implementation of preventive maintenance plans through CMMS of equipments and machineries.
3. Develops/updates the schedule for preventive maintenance activities on rotating equipments.
4. Coordinate with Engineering, Technical Services and the Operation departments in the planning and execution of maintenance and repair works etc. of plants, equipments and other installations in the assigned area.
5. Responsible for maintenance of stationary and rotary equipments of crude distillation unit, vacuum distillation unit, Visbreaker unit, Gascon unit, sulphur recovery/solidification unit. Naphtha Hydro treating unit, Platforming and CCR.
6. Making packages of machineries for Turn Around.
7. Development of Turn Around job packages.
8. Material and spares estimation for Turn Around.
9. Material reservations against the Turn Around.
10. To initiate safety implementation programs for the contractor work force.
11. As a member of Emergency Response Team of PARCO, always ready to tackle any misshape conditions at plat side.
12. Develops/plans long term and short-term work programs foe maintenance /individual project works to be carried out.
13. Initiates/originates service orders contract, purchase requests, direct material requisitions and material reservation requests for the major overhauls and scope of works etc.
14. Frequent contacts with contractors to discuss work requirements and evaluate performance.
15. Supervision of routine and Preventive Maintenance work of Rotary Equipments

• Diploma of Associate Engineering in Mechanical Technology (Pakistani Swedish Institute of technology Karachi 1994-1997).
• Intermediate examination passed in 1994 from Govt. Superior Science College Karachi.
• Matriculation examination passed in 1992 from Jamia Millia Govt Pilot Boys Sec. School

• 02 Years Industrial training program in Petroleum Refinery Technology held in National Refinery Limited and Pak Arab Refinery Limited. (15th June 98 to 14th June 2000) through Petromen. A division o PERAC.

• CNC (Computer Numeric controlling) from Pak Swiss Training Centre Karachi.
• Training in Reciprocating Compressor by Thomason International.
• HSE training from Parco as ERT (EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM) member.
• Bearing Technology course from ¡§SKF Bearing¡¨.
• Attended in house training on ¡§Coping with difficult people¡¨.
