The Driller is only one key person on the rig floor. Who is responsible for the Rig floor
He should be ready all the time for shut the well. He should keep ready FOSV and I-BOP with its cross over’s, and both valve should lubricant for any emergency use. He should be planed ahead what will be next run or next game plan. During Drilling the Driller should be Take extra care specially drilling parameters. He should watch gain/loss and communicate with shaker man or derrick man time to time for pit level or any changing shape of cuttings. During tripping before he should do flow check. During this operation he will Take extra care his floor hands and he will take extra care for rig equipments like TDS, Air Winches, Pipe spinner, both tongs and its snub Lines, safety lines and its torque sensor, As a driller he has responsibility for further operations like pressure test BOP according to company procedure or 15 days, pressure test surface lines, Slip & cut drill line, RIH casings N/D or N/up BOP or shooting Nipples, Wire line job, cement job, DST job coil tubing, fishing etc…for all jobs Driller or assistant Driller will open work permit and check the job location If they found ok then they will start the Job. All the operations are very critical so the driller has been taken extra care for each operation. The Driller should follow the company Rules and Regulations and follow the company man game plan.
