Technical Skills
•Comprehensive knowledge of safety engineering and design of water and wastewater treatment plants and construction.

•Excellent knowledge of Environment Management Systems and Wastewater treatment systems.

•Excellent technical & analytical skills in Health and Safety.

•Good knowledge and considerable experience in undertaking Risk Assessments and Occupational incident and accident investigation, recording and reporting.

•Adequate Knowledge in National and International regulations of Health and Safety and therefore the ability to evaluate degree of compliance and propose improvement methodologies.

•Excellent knowledge in Safe Systems of Work for work in confined spaces, lone working etc. and operation and application of Permit To Work (PTW) systems.

•Good skill in the maintenance of a safe workplace, planning and adequate training in promoting a positive health and safety culture.

•Ability to develop emergency procedures and arrange for emergency and rescue services.

•Good knowledge on ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 14001.

•Thorough knowledge in Safety Auditing, Preparation of DMP & EMP, Implementation of EMS -ISO 14001, Hazard Identification, Risk Assesment, Process Safety, Safety Laws and Hazardous Area Classification.

•Internship experience in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plant.

•Ability to drive and inspire and can adjust to and work with teams.

•Familiar with Microsoft applications- Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Access.

•Participate in Weekly Safety and Progress Meeting and coordinate with the front-line supervisors in conducting Safety Tool Box Meetings.

•Evaluate the need for safety equipment to employees, first-aid, fire protection, hygiene and sanitation etc. and ensure that all meet the minimum safety standards.

•Participate in minimum safety promotional activities such as displaying of positive attitude safety posters, safety signs, banners and publication of safety letters or literature.

•Preparing Job Safety Analysis and Safe Work Authorization for applying Permit To Work (PTW).

•Raising awareness of health & safety issues in the plant.

•Active monitoring of HSE aspects of all processes and documentation and identification of HSE improvements to systems and processes.
