Job Position Held: SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN ENGINEER
Scope of Work:
Leads and supervises a team of instrument technicians in scheduled and unscheduled shutdown maintenance (with respect to instrumentation), plant start-up and monitoring during process operation by the shift system.
Troubleshooting in instrumentation and control loop malfunctions during processing and attends to all reported problems relating instrumentation and process control.
Maintenance, calibration and installation of process transmitters (level, pressure, flow, temperature transmitters), I/P transducers and their controllers.
Maintenance, calibration and installation of control valves, safety relief valves, shut-off valves, pressure control valves, positioners, air regulators and motorized valves.
Maintenance, calibration and installation of indicating instruments (level gauges or glasses, manometers/pressure gauges, temperature gauges, draft gauges,), RTDs and thermocouples.
Installation and programming of PLCs and PID controller(tuning)
.panel/cabinets building, wiring and cable termination, including running and tracing complex loop wiring. Able to read /understand the P&IDs, loop sheets, cause & effects and schematic diagrams.
Ensures good housekeeping and safety/environmental requirements as a departmental Shop Steward.
Liaises with instrumentation technicians to ensure that instruments are well calibrated and functioned optimally before installation or engaged in service to process.
Actively promote implementation of the companys safety and environmental procedures
Scope of Work:
a. Responsible for the maintenance and installation of single and three phase induction motors, synchronous motors, wound rotor motors using slip rings and resistance soft start.
d. Installation of wide plant lighting and overhead cranes maintenance.
e. Maintenance of air compressors and dryers.
f. Installation and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers and reclosers.
J. Reading and interpreting of electrical blue print in troubleshooting or faults tracing.
