Mechanical Project Engineer

Currently seeking an opportunity to be a part of a team that dynamically works towards the growth of an organization and gain thereof

 Performing equipment or plant and piping modeling and developing engineering drawings in compliance with the design criteria, applicable industry codes and project & company objectives.
 Reviewing vendor information and providing technical support to all disciplines in the project team.
Reviewing and developing P&IDs.
 Liaising with other disciplines, receiving design inputs and performing stress analysis.
 Performing field walk downs to gather requirements at clients’ facilities and determining tie-in locations & field routings.
 Contributing to creation of isometrics and issuing piping isometrics against the stress analysis documents.
 Providing technical engineering judgment to decisions pertaining to design or in-field assignments.
 Guiding and mentoring new recruits and providing feedback on their performance.
 Providing engineering deliverables in support of ongoing projects through detail-oriented engineering.
 Ensuring the accomplishment of engineering activities in a cost effective manner, thus minimizing unnecessary expenditures of the company.
 Adhering to client’s design requirements and relevant standards.
 Verifying layouts & schematics and re-routing or modifications.
 Providing technical support to the Proposal Engineer and carrying out Conceptual Engineering in support of enquiries.

- Currently enrolled in a Masters' degree in Engineering Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, U.S.A.
- Obtained bachelor degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, U.S.A. in Mechanical Engineering, December 2007.

 Skilled at capitalizing on opportunities and working around obstacles and multi-tasking assignments with the aim to accomplish the project objectives.

 Recognized for hands-on experience in Quality Management, Team Mentoring & Training and Expertise in undertaking Academic Research & Projects.

 A qualified and result-oriented individual with a proven track record of demonstrating exemplary performance in high-pressure dynamic environments.

 An excellent communicator, fluent in Arabic & English, with the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse nationalities and comfortable working in a multi-cultural set-up.
