Chemical Engineer

Currently pursuing a position focused on Chemical/Process Engineering, where I can demonstrate my professional skills and obtain valuable experience while contributing to a team effort.

Industrial Experience:
Shift Incharge at Faisalabad Oil Refinery, January 2011 – Present
Faisalabad Oil Refinery is owned by Madina Group of Industries where Kisan Canola oil, Kisan Sunflower oil and Kisan Vegetable oil is produced.
Responsibilities:
• I am working as a Shift Incharge at a physical edible oil refinery. The refining process includes a number of stages before oil is ready to be sold.
• I am responsible for the quality control and smooth flow of the overall refining process.
• I make production reports.
• I am also responsible for the inspection of all equipments used in the process.

Professional Laboratory Research Experience:
Researcher at the Benjamin Levich Institute for Physico-Chemical Hydrodynamics September 2009 – September 2010
The Levich Institute is a research center focused on fundamental problems related to fluid flow and transport in complex fluids, polymer melts, liquid crystals and granular materials.
Responsibilities:
• I performed several experiments to test different grades and sizes of Alumina/Silica beads for thermal energy storage in Concentrated Solar Power Plants by using superheated steam to produce renewable heat and electricity.
• Fluid flow in different size porous media to investigate Porosity and Permeability of different porous medium like Alumina/Silica pellets, soil samples and different types of powdered glass. The apparatus for this experiment was designed and built by myself.
