Project Engineer- Electrical ( Design/Contracts)

Major Duties
• Detailed engineering of the project specification ,drawings and technical data sheets for each equipments of the project.
• Detailed Study and prepare the technical compliance statement for all the electrical items in project with the tender specification.
• Attend the meeting with electrical equipment manufacturer for clarifying the technical issues related to project .
• Designing of Distribution substation (11kv/0.4kv,22/0.4kv) ,power distribution network layout,street lighting layout,equipment layout,Single line diagram for the substation(including MV switchgear,Transformer,LV Switchgear,Submain Distribution Board.Final Distribution Board and consumer Unit.)
• Preparation of earthing layout drawing in accordance with local Authority regulation.
• Maintanace of Generator,transformer,MV Swichgear,LV Swichgear ,48 V Dc system including charger and battery system.
• Check the Discrimination of the panels breakers arrangement by using PROCERA 5.3 (Product of General Electric Software)
• Prepare load schedule for the electrical system in accordance with the local authority regulations and project specifications.
• Prepare low voltage,high voltage cable schedule in accordance with the current carrying capacity of the cables and connected load
• Preparation of shop drawing for the awarded project incorporating with the scope of work and follow-up with consultant for approval.
• Preparation of Technical Submittal for each electrical equipments like transformer,generator,UPS ,48V DC Systems,11 KV Panel,22KV panel ,Low voltage & Medium voltage Cables etc…and follow up with the consultant and local authority for the approval.
• Attend all the suppliers meeting with procurement team for finalizing the electrical materials.
• Forward Purchase requisition (PR) for electrical material to procurement department as per the project site requirement.
• Forward enquiries to approved vendors for getting the quotations for the awarded and tendering projects. And also attend the meeting with suppliers for finalizing the materials within our cost and complied our technical specification.
• Estimation and its related documents preparation for the electrical projects.
• Working as an electrical engineer capable of reviewing tender drawing, technical specification, bill of quantities and contract drawing.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• 2002 - 2006 67.3% Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) Anna University, Chennai.

Training Details:
• Complete the Training in PROCERA 5.3 from General Electric (Jan-2011)
• Complete the Internal Audit Course conducted by ABB in Jan-2010
• Automation Diploma- Certified Automation Engineer (Period 3 months) From Prolific Systems Pvt Ltd, Thane, Mumbai-Training In -PLC (Allen Bradley), SCADA, Panel Designing, AC Drives & Instrumentation

• Preparation of method of statement, quality plan, inspection and test Plans for the electrical project as per the specification and follow-up with the consultant for approval.
• Participate in internal audit program
• Site supervision & Discussion with client for clearing site problems.
