RSS Global Asset Manager/Logistics Manager
• To facilitate the timely shipment of import and export goods and services on a 24/7 global basis, ensuring associated documentation is in line with the work orders, sales orders and invoices received and HM Customs & Excise requirements. The asset management and tracking of tools and components for RSS (UK) global support.
• To act as the receiver of operational tool orders from Regional Managers, entering sales orders/sales order amendments onto the computer using price data control, ensuring accuracy of data and liaising with manufacturing on order requests.
• Planning and scheduling of modular spares and unallocated match requirements for shipments, liaising with other departments where parts are on loan.
• Liaising and approving external packaging companies for use with regards crating/packing requirements, ensuring their offerings meet company requirements and the use of preferred suppliers.
• Liaising and approving freight companies, regularly monitoring costs with a view to having preferred suppliers, notifying them of shipments containing IPR goods (goods imported without duty and allowed to stay in the country by a designated date).
• Receiving notification of import shipments from the centre/clearing agent, establishing the import method, recording and referencing details on the import records.
• Advising the clearing agent of the import method required and advise of tariff numbers, VAT number, deferment no, IPR authority and customs procedure code.
• Meeting with HM Customs and Excise personnel for audit purposes, ensuring that information is available for audit and any requests for information are actioned to maximise success at audit.
• Providing quarterly returns to HM Customs and Excise regarding IPR items.
• The point of contact for all RSS Global Asset Management matters, ensuring up to date accuracy of information, and that tools and components are logged as they transfer to different locations for charging purposes.
• Responsible for preparing and carrying out UK asset counts, ensuring count process compliance and assisting with all aspects of the planning, execution and count results.
