Handling Work permit system also involved in the preparation of tentative vessel plan, documentation and updating the SOP for the efficient and safer operational activities.
Organising meeting with HOD for planning operation activities also handling the activities related to liquid tank farm.
Responsible for executing operations as Loading Master for the vessels i.e. carrying out vessel surveillances, safety checks, Ullage reports, stowage plans, discharge sequences of the product as per the terminal requirement.
Liaising with the shipping agents, customers, and surveyors, port officials for vessel operations, (loading and unloading operations).
Carrying out the necessary pre-berthing checks, post berthing checks and equipment check as per the laid down procedures.
Managing the inter tank transfer operations and pipeline transfer operations of the liquid products, also monitoring the behaviors of the fixed and floating roof tanks during the receipts and discharge operations.
Handling of petroleum products like HSD, Motor Spirit, Naphtha, SKO, Fuel oils, Petro Chemicals MTBE, Cyclo Hexane, N paraffin, N Octane, Styrene, Butyl Acralyte, Vinyl Acetate Monomer, Acetic Acid etc.
Taking the necessary samples and test them before loading different products consecutively through the same pipeline so that the contamination is within the acceptable limits.
Modernizing Shipment Schedule and Making Necessary Preparations for Efficient Operation of Terminal. Analyzing/maintaining quality and quantity of the cargos handled and volume of cargo stored in the shore tanks (MIS Reports).
Involved in the preparation of ISO documents related to Operations and Maintenance. Responsible for the maintenance of electrical systems, transformers, MCC, PCC panels, ups, and control systems.
Coordinating with statutory government personnels (MSEB, Factory Inspectors, pollution control and Weights and Measures. etc.) for smooth operation of terminal. Ensuring safe handing over of the equipment for maintenance and restart with minimum down time by prudent planning and co ordination.
