Gas Plant Senior Shift Supervisor 2004 – Present

• Working in West Libya Gas Project Mellitah Complex which produces 9.88 Billion Sm3 /Y of sales gas, 12MSm3/Y of Condensate, LPG 512.000Mtons/Y and 120.000 tons/year of solid sulphur 59Mbbls/Y of crude oil.
• Responsible for multicultural staff, coordinate and follow up all operation and maintenance activities, excellent safety knowledge and mature also managing all other activities related to Mellitah Operation Complex such as planned shutdown for the plants. (www.mellitahog.ly).
• Make sure all Company safety policy and environment regulation strictly implemented.
• Ensure all plant process effect on the environment is low.
• Approve and issue work requests Using MAXIMO system for maintenance activities and arrange for it during plant running or planned shutdown.
• Approve issued permit to work by area authority.
• Issue Plant Modification Request PMR if Required.
• Maintain daily nomination of Sales gas export to Italy.
• Ensure that LPG & Condensate Sulphur and sales gas nomination to client is met.
• • Prepare risk assessment, job risk analysis JRA.
• Issue and approve warehouse requisition for material & chemicals for plant use using MAXIMO system.
• Prepare all daily activities & production Report.
• Respond and manage all units in case of emergency and act as ERT Leader
• Write procedures for start-up and shutdown of all process trains.
• Prepare daily routine instructions for all shift Operators.

• Provide instructions and direct shift Operators and Sr. operators during duties to ensure the plant safety and operability.
• Giving proposals for eliminating gas flaring during gas processing.
• Manipulating collected production date.
• Give assistance in training operators how to deal with DCS & PLC systems and related process.
• Maintain the optimum operable parameters for GTU & SRU Trains in order to reduce the impact on the environment.
• Prepare annual reports and presentation to clients about plant activities and present them.
• Recently assigned as Mellitah Complex 2010 shutdown team leader.
• Assigned by company to review all operating manuals prepared by contractor.

Gas Plant areas consist of:

• Three parallel identical Gas Trains where they receive raw gas from platform though 36’’sea line, to remove H2S and Co2 using MDEA as solvent.
• Two condensate stabilization trains.
• Two NGL fractionations trains receiving 270 Sm3/hr each of NGL to produce stabilized oil and propane and butane liquid
• H.P and L.P fuel gas system.
• Refrigeration system using four motor driven compressors.
• Off gas Screw compressors for compression off gas from Condensate Stabilization Trains.
• Gas sweetning Using MDEA including regeneration system
• Gas Dehydration System using molecular sieve.
• Dew point control system using screw type propane compressors.
• Three SRU trains producing liquid & solid Sulphur using Thermal Reactor & Claus Catalytic Converter
• Three HP steam turbine Generator STG, Four HP boiler.
• Three Gas Turbine Generator GTG
• Utilities (N2,Air,Water,Steam,waste water treatment, sewage)
• Loading facilities(loading pumps, propane and butane loading arms)
