ConstructionProject Engineer

Looking for a position in the construction or consulting field where a degree in Civil Engineering and construction management experience will add value to operations.

• Planner, Estimator / Project Manager, IAP World Services, Construction management of projects at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington DC. From May 2008 to September 2011. Duties: Develop scope of work and cost estimate for new projects, attend site visits with contractors, develop all technical construction specifications for new projects, inspect and approve/reject construction work performed, closeout documentation preparation for government representatives.

Collect input from multiple customers and define scope of work for new construction or restoration maintenance projects. Oversee construction phase of job to ensure compliance with schedule, engineering specifications, site safety and environmental protection. Supplement standard work reference data with knowledge of site-specific requirements for successful execution and completion of work. Oversee execution of the subcontract to ensure compliance with specifications, schedule, quality of work, work site safety, and costs. Comply with and enforce safety standards at the job site at all times. Upon completion, perform final job inspections and prepare punch list of discrepancies. Validate technical acceptance of work and secures final acceptance by customer.

• Project Engineer, Sagres Construction Corp. in road & bridges, ponds, streetscape and water main projects;
Duties: Project Engineer, Project Management regular duties. Scheduling, purchasing and field coordination, estimating, preparation of payment applications, preparation of bid packages, submittals, CMP schedules, payment applications, change orders, subcontracting, attending site visits, pre-construction and progress meetings, preparation of as-built drawings, contract and closeout documentation.

• Field engineer (Total Engineering, Ltd.); participation in the final design of the project of improvement and extension of the sanitary sewage system of Shinaota (Cochabamba, Bolivia).
