My background is in the oil and gas industry. Experience as drilling engineer, MWD/LWD, directional drilling & drilling service manager. I am looking for a job opportunity as a drilling engineer position preferably International.

Drilling Service Manager for several clients in Den Hague, Holland. Accountable for Holland Office/team, interface with Clients, Safety, performance management, project management, personnel and equipment, BHA designs, BHA Hydraulics & LWD options and measurements with in-house senior drilling engineers/teams. Safety is a key value, both personally and professionally. My Leadership in that with my teams and my demonstration and ownership of that is critical to delivering a safe and efficient operation and performance.

Schlumberger, Senior LWD Engineer
Senior Support Engineer for Chevron Holland offshore. Requested to lead project by due to previous work performance. Responsible for Safety, project setup, planning and operations and performance, including coaching and development of junior engineers.

Schlumberger, DSM (Drilling Service Manager)
Drilling Service Manager dealing with TOTAL in Aberdeen. Leading office and operations support for offshore North Sea. Accountable for interface with Clients, performance management, project management, personnel and equipment, BHA designs, BHA Hydraulics & LWD options and measurements with in-house senior drilling engineers and clients.

Schlumberger, MWD/LWD Engineer
As well as supporting standard field operations, performed Remote Engineer role, leading in-house real-time data monitoring Centre for North Sea operations. Experienced in full range of LWD services for North Sea/Norway, Holland including Ecoscope, Periscope and Stethoscope Tools. Worked in Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. Completed training in Abu Dhabi in September 2007. Experience with directional drilling and measurement while drilling tools and services. Principal accountabilities were: supporting client Drilling Engineers in well design and well plans, supporting the SLB Central Operations Support Centre, controlling and supporting well operations in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, with well planning and technical support to Well Engineers on the wellsite, helping resolve technical issues.

BP – Drilling Engineer Summer Intern
Summer project work with Aberdeen Drilling Technical group. Developed a review of the HSSE incidents related to the use of mechanised drill-floor equipment across BP UK drilling facilities, to identify root cause of incidents and opportunities for improvement.

The discipline of Project Management is well established within the Schlumberger organisation. I am organised, structured and have a focused approach to project and resource planning, and have applied this successfully to my work/projects.
I take the initiative in situations, deal with conflict by actively resolving the situation, tend to lead naturally and I am focused on being successful with anything I am associated with.
I am adaptable to situations, with communications being a strong point. I do interact and adapt to various cultures and environments quite easily
I was a competitive swimmer for many years and competed for the City of Aberdeen Swim Team, the top ranked club in Scotland. I have competed at National and International level, swimming for the Scottish National Team. I subsequently coached local teams, leading individuals and teams for success.
I played rugby & football for Robert Gordon’s College and Heriot Watt University Teams.
From Sept.-Jan. 06, I travelled the West Coast of USA, Mexico and Canada using a locally purchased second hand camper van, living in the camper van and working locally whenever the opportunity was available. The experience gained has provided me with confidence in overcoming difficulties/adversity.
