I am eager, honest, strong, have integrity and a good work ethic. I am willing to work hard and learn fast, in any diving capacity you might have available for me.
Professional Experience
Dive Master / Tour Guide / First Mate:
Mainly conducting White Shark Cage Diving Tours as Dive Master /Tour Guide / Shark Wrangler and First Mate, for a company called Shark Adventures & More. Duties also included leading general Scuba Diving Tours, Game fishing Tours, Pelagic Bird Watching Tours, Boat Based Whale Watching Tours and Blue Water Hunting Tours. I was the stand-in Captain for all sea based activities in case the regular Captain was unavailable to conduct tours, resulting that all responsibilities of leading tours as Captain, Tour Guide and Safety Responsibilities, then resorted to me.
Boat’s passenger capacity ranged from 1 To 28 passengers per tour. Boat maintenance of the company vessel inclusive of engine servicing, was also part of my responsibility. All diving gear, inclusive of scuba equipment for the various tours, had to be serviced and maintained by myself.
Working for Shark Adventures under the guidance of the Owner/Operator, has offered me the opportunity to gain a wide range of hands-on skills and experience in diving, boating, people skills and the responsibility that accompanies such an operation, over the past 7 years.
In my spare time, I also assisted Mr Tony Smit that runs a company called Dive & Adventures in Gordons Bay South Africa, offering Scuba diving tours, Scuba training, Commercial Diving and Skippers Training. My general duties was to assist him in all manners practical when I was available inclusive of Boat skippering, leading Scuba Diving tours as Dive Master, filling scuba cylinders, commercial work in the local harbours such as general salvaging and boat maintenance and maintenance on pump-inlets in surrounding farm dams.
