Professional Experience
Managing the engineering phase of all EPC Projects:
•Coordinate the engineering phase of EPC/LSTK projects by reviewing and evaluating technical and commercial terms of bidding Engineering subcontractors; conduct negotiations and recommend most qualified subcontractor in alignment with client requirements.
• Assist the Area Contracts Department in developing a contractual agreement with the engineering subcontractor in the best interest of the company.
• Provide engineering advice and technical support at all phases to the Project Manager and project team as needed.
• Assisting in improving the capabilities of the project engineering coordinators/Managers and guide them to coordinate and follow up the following activities with the engineering subcontractor:
1. Preparation of design schedule.
2. Direct the design verification period, review drawings, list of deliverables, issuing dates, and other related documents, and make the necessary changes based on set requirements and standards.
3. Ensure that the project engineering team Analyze project design and requirements, conduct studies regarding hazard, Value Improving Practices (VIPs), and other critical matters, and make appropriate recommendations accordingly for design modification.
4. Conducting site visits/investigations as per requirement to verify the field data and getting site information.
5. Issuance of design review packages at the agreed stages (30%, 60%, 90% & IFC)
6. Review the design packages by CAT & Client, and collecting, responding, and incorporating all of the comments.
7. Preparation of Material requisitions, and route the MRs for CAT/Client review & approval.
8. Review & approval of vendors’ technical bids (TBEs).
9. Review & approval of vendors’ design packages (NMR’s).
10. Solving technical problems during engineering, procurement, construction, precommissioning, commissioning and start up.
11. Manage the preparation of engineering documents and as-built drawings at the project closing phase

• Engineering manager, with 30 years of multi experience in site management, engineering, piping, pipelines, mechanical.
• Familiar with Mechanical, Piping & Pipelines international Standards.
• Familiar with Saudi Aramco Standards
• Strong background in several disciplines, such as procurement, planning, estimation, QA/QC, pre commissioning, contracts, Negotiation Skills, etc.
• Acting also as technical & pre-commissioning manager, and preparing the critical Precommissioning calculations and procedure (such as P/L hydrotest, mechanical/chemical cleaning, drying, layup,…etc.)

Additional Information
I am a mechanical engineer with total experience of thirty (30) years in the oil and gas industry, five years in maintenance (In steam Power Plant) and eleven years in construction of power plant, pipeline and flowlines, and the last 14 years in engineering management with Oil & Gas LSTK contractor.
This work has included detail design, procurement and construction of Major Pipelines (56” and below), Piping Works, Steel structure, Well hook up, flowlines, shipping pumps, gas compressors and Gas filters,…etc.
Currently, I am working in Saudi Arabia, and my position is "Area engineering manager" as detailed in attached CV.
I’m also acting as technical & pre-commissioning manager, and preparing the critical Pre-commissioning calculations and procedure (such as P/L hydrotest, mechanical/chemical cleaning, drying, layup,…etc.)
