Working for Schlumberger since June 2006. During this period I have worked on maintenance & Operation of various Recording Instruments like Sercel 408, Sercel 428, VE432, Pelton and Q-Land for remote telemetry and data Acquisition systems.
Major Tasks:
• Being in charge of the recording shift operations and supervision of all section staff.
• Managing others to achieve the sections results in production and QHSE.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and supervision of field operations.
• Operating the recording instruments and control the recording operations according to the plan established by the chief/senior observer.
• Ensuring all clients contractual specifications concerning the acquisition of seismic data are adhered to through the daily and monthly testing of recording instruments and field equipment.
• Providing all acquired field data, recording monitors, tapes, GPS data, Radio similarity data and observer logs, to the QC department on a daily basis.
• Monitoring daily instrument and radio similarity results.
• Working primarily on the recording line remote from camp, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment.
• Managing line logistics, and standing in as required for the Senior Observer.
• Planning ahead to maximize recording time.
• Ensure maintenance processes and standards on the crew are maintained.
• Maintain crew documentation and help juniors to learn about the equipment being used.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and ensure all juniors do likewise.
• Maintain good relations with clients and their representatives. Communicate with them regularly.
• Comply with WesternGeco QHSE policies, guidelines and goals and the implementation of such.
• Conduct regular audits. Hold section QHSE meetings according to the crew schedule.
