Field Engineer
Schlumberger, Drilling and Measurements

I worked for Schlumberger as a Senior Field Engineer in Schlumberger’s Drilling and Measurements division, performing down-hole measurements and logging services while drilling. My duties also included diagnosing & trouble-shooting service related problems in a time (money) constrained-environment, pre/post job preparation & mobilisation of all equipment, reporting of all operations, failures and safety incidents, conducting final data processing and data delivery to client. During my time with Schlumberger, I worked primarily in Sakhalin and Irkutsk (Russia), but have gained international LWD experience on loan assignments to Romania, Qatar and China.
Design Engineer

I worked on the design of pipelines for refineries, making project documentation, design drawings and selection of appropriate valves, connecting pipes, bibs, etc. for required conditions, pressure, temperature, type of substance. My responsibility was leading design of projects, communication with client and project details definition, creation/evaluation of 2d/3d drawings and associated project documentation, ensuring designs are economic, safe and fit-for-purpose. I finished my employment as an estimator of design projects.

“Energy change of a planar specimen surface made of 09G2C steel under the influence of bending cyclical loads”. While the project required knowledge of materials and material testing, the focus on the project was primarily on laboratory testing. I was awarded 2nd place for my thesis at the Student & Young Scientists conference.
