Acting Industrial Engineer

Seeking a position in a reputed organization where I can use my experience and knowledge.

1. Setting up time equations (engineered process time estimates) and production norms through the conduct of methods and time study, work measurement, operations research, better material handling.
2. Internal communications – between Manufacturing, Engineering, and Planning. External communications – between Suppliers, Contractors.
3. Identifies the scope for technology upgrade through research and analysis and based on the existing process-improvement needs.
4. Prepares Economic Feasibility Report by working out on key indicators e.g. payback period, Return on Capital.
5. Conducts Line Balancing Exercise to identify shop floor bottlenecks and recommends improvements such as need for adding resources or division of work content among operations.
6. Conducts critical analyses to identify better methods for all the critical operations / processes and to improve productivity for all the resources.
7. Conducts Work Measurement to establish new time equations through the use of Linear Regression Analysis for existing operations/processes and whenever new equipment is added.
8. Reports for each of the recommended process improvement and submits the same to the immediate head for review and approval.
9. Conducts cost reduction exercises via identification of alternate vendors for the latest machines & plant equipment and implementation of good manufacturing processes such as 5S, Kaizen (Process Improvements).
Miscellaneous Tasks:
10. Ensures that all kinds of installation works fully comply with the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Policy.
11. Updates Plant Layout whenever a new machine or equipment is added or relocated in the shop floor and maintains an updated list of machinery.
12. Coordinates with the Supplier and/or Manufacturing and Maintenance Departments regarding the installation of new machine and equipment.
13. Maintains copies of drawings, manuals and latest software of all machines.
