Key Responsibilities
 Monitoring, controlling, optimization and improvement for day to day safe and efficient operations in field and DCS of coke oven gas processing plant
 Major operations handled are gas condensation & separation of coal tar and ammonia liquor, gas conveying, removal of hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia scrubbing of coke oven gas. Distillation of ammonia liquor, ammonia vapors decomposition in Ni catalytic furnace with boiler, gas holder operations, handling plant utilities, softening of water and BOD water treatment plant
 Co-ordination with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation departments for the smooth running of the plant with out any equipment down time
 Prepares process equipment and systems as per established procedure to carry shutdown activities safely and effectively
 Responsible for the uninterrupted production and quality control of coke oven gas, coal tar, and waste water treatment to achieve environmental norms
 Evaluate process activities, operational concerns and propose corrective actions to improve process yield
