RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Leading role in supervising a team of programmers to provide technical service support to ensuring smooth production operation. Creating NC part programs used on numerically controlled production machines. Work performed requires application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Updates existing NC tapes per engineering change requests or manufacturing needs, creates family part master programs under the direction of PGL and establishes recall modules in order to standardize setup statements, tooling selection, machining speeds, etc. Makes recommendations in manufacturing methods and validates accuracy of programs prior to release of tapes to shop floor. Troubleshooting, analyze and provide solution with regards to CNC programming issues without compromising product quality and delivery time.
-Creating accurate and routine manufacturing sequences whereby raw materials and assemblies are processed into quality finished products using the most economical and efficient means. Work performed requires application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Reviews prints and requirements of items to be manufactured and determines the process plans/routings, instructions, methods, procedures, tooling, etc. required. Uses computerized files/systems to analyze production status and creates manufacturing process for parts/assembly by specifying machines to be utilized, stages of manufacture, and routing stages required to produce finished part. Establishes standard production times for parts and/or assemblies, recommends improvements/modifications, and discusses/resolves impact of process plans with other departments as required.
