Piping Design Engineer

Looking for a challenging and demanding position in Piping Design and Engineering in a growth oriented organization to render my talent and knowledge and add value to organizational growth and objectives.

 Mechanical Engineer with overall 10 years of experience of which 8.5 yrs. in Piping Engineering that includes Piping activities in following sector projects: Detail Engineering-Refineries (IOCL Paradeep Refinery project includes SWS Unit and UG Piping; Essar Refinery Expansion Project which includes OSBL tankages and Desalination Package Unit; Base Refinery Modification and Revamping Project which SWS Unit and FCCU Exchangers and Cooling Tower Area ) and Petrochemicals (Polypropylene).
 Currently associated with Essar Engineering Services Ltd, Mumbai as Senior Engineer- Piping from Oct-2007 up to
date & previously associated with Rolta India Ltd, Mumbai as Executive Engineer.
 Proficient in handling execution of engineering projects (Piping), Coordinating with other engineering disciplines & clients; deft in swiftly ramping projects with cross-functional skills & ensuring on-time deliverables.
 Possess knowledge of commonly used codes & standards in piping industry.
 Strong exposure in attending technical queries from site and finding solutions.
 Proficient in Plant Design System (Version 7.02, 7.03, 8.0), ISOGEN, SPR Review.
 Knowledge of Micro station 7.1.
 Essar refinery site experience for two months.
 Familiar with CEASER/ORTHOGEN.
 Preparation & checking of piping layout (GAD), piping isometrics & bill of materials.
 Preparation & checking of equipment layout.
 Planning, Supervising & monitoring progress for a team including engineer & designer to achieve the targets on schedule.
 Bulk, intermediate & final Material take-offs.
 Support tagging & supporting of non-critical lines using support standards.
 Familiar with preparation of piping material specification including pipe wall thickness calculation, pressure temperature rating, branch table, reinforcing pad calculation, preparation of valve datasheets etc. Undergone training for materials.
 Familiar with commonly used materials in piping industry as per ASTM standards.
 Reviewing of 3D model in SPR.
 Proficient in interdepartmental coordination & coordination with clients.

 MBA(Operations) from United Business Institute, Belgium in collaboration of Jaro Institute, Mumbai
 Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from SRTM University, Nanded. (First Class)
 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic, Kolhapur. (Distinction)

 Course in Piping Engineering. (1st Class) from Suvidya Institute Of Technology, Mumbai in 2006.
