Construction Contracts Manager / Project Manager

Construction delivery of prestigious projects, on time and within budget.

3 years experience in the design and management of the construction of buildings and special structures. Involved in structural steel and reinforced concrete design of mines, commercial and industrial structures and intricate / complex buildings.

13 years experience in the construction management and expedition of many projects, ranging from mines to shopping centres, hotels and office blocks.
Job role includes but is not limited to:

- Liaison with the Client & Professional Team, Sub Contractors & Suppliers
- Overall health and safety management in accordance with the OSHACT & the Clients safety spec
- Contract planning and programming, services co-ordination
- Cost management and control
- Construction quality assurance and control ( in accordance with ISO 9001 )
- Materials engineering and control – mix designs, assessment & utilization of materials
- Progress reporting to the Client – information flow, contract, programme etc
- Progress reporting to Senior management – cost, contract, quality, programme etc
- Design and construction control of site establishment & temporary works including shoring, back propping, formwork, access scaffolding, concrete batch plants, mortar mixing batch plants, tower cranes, precast concrete yards
- Site organization and document control
- HR management, resource mobilization and control, Industrial relations management
- Environmental management & control, traffic management & control
- Supervision and personnel management of all site staff – site agents, quantity surveyors, general foreman, site engineers, foreman, safety officers, clerks, trainees, labour force

Matric certificate.
National Diploma : engineering : civil ( cum laude )- received an award for the best engineering student in the faculty of engineering and held a record in south africa for 7 years for the best overall and exam results achieved.
Bachelors degree : engineering : civil ( majored in structural engineering )
