Contract Manager / Commercial Manager / Claims Specialist

An upper management position involving commercial and contract management, extension of time claims evaluation and disputes resolution.

I am currently working as the Procurement, Compliance and Contract Manager for International Relief & Development (IRD) – Jordan, the Main Contractor of Jordan Schools Construction & Rehabilitation Program and I have extensive experience working with international institutions in Jordan and Middle East. I worked previously with the following companies:
• GAMA Power Systems Engineering and Contracting Inc. at Disi-Mudawarra to Amman Water Conveyance System Project – Jordan
• Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) – Jordan & Qatar
• J&P Overseas at Queen Alia International Airport Expansion and Rehabilitation Project–Jordan
• Ozaltin Construction at Al Wehdah Dam Project – Jordan
• AEGEK – HIDROGRADNJA JV at Wala Dam Project – Jordan
My experience and expertise are in commercial and contract management, preparation of extension of time claims, disputes resolution, project management control systems, scheduling and forensic delay analysis, as well as advising on and dealing with all contractual issues including Variations and Valuation of "varied work" under FIDIC and similar Forms of Contract.

Extensive experience in writing all contractual correspondences, Notices, Detailed Particulars and calculation of Prolongation Costs, use of formulae for Recover of Overheads (Hudson, Emden, Eichleay, Hank-Laan and Samaratunga), sound Contract Administration, very strong knowledge of FIDIC fourth Edition 1987 and FIDIC Red Book1999 in addition to that I have a very good knowledge of other standard forms of Contract namely (EPC and Subcontract forms).

I successfully presented local and foreign clients in connection with number of claims and disputes (under FIDIC Contracts) that are diverse in nature, size and complexity. Moreover, I have involvement in arbitration proceedings (under ICC and Jordanian Arbitration Law rules) and familiarity with construction contract law, local regulations and policies.
