Instrumentation & Control System Engineer
In this position I am supervising a multinationals team of two team leaders and ten technicians, I responsible for the Planed Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Facilities Improvement Proposal (FIP) of the plant that will ensure availability and reliability of plant equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
„«Prepare the preventive maintenance programme and implement the maintenance of various control systems and instrumentation equipment of the Central Processing Facilities (CPF).
„«Preparing of daily instrumentations & control systems maintenance report.
„«Ensuring all Preventive Maintenance activities conducted as per master schedule list and CMMS system within determined time.
„«Carrying out corrective and break down maintenance of Instruments.
„«Operations and maintenance of the Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), Fire and Gas System (FGS) and Fire Detection Alarm Systems.
„«Working for developments to the existing DCS, ESD control systems and instrumentation equipments to keep them updated with new technologies.
„«Budgetary preparation, inventory control, making spare parts list, ordering of spares, making work orders, evaluations of quotations, inspection of the incoming spares.
„«Commissioning, inspection and testing of new Instrumentation & Control Systems projects.
„«Preparing of monthly Preventive & Corrective Maintenance performance report.
„«Monitor the working of the instrumentation & control systems at site before taking over of new facilities from contractors.
„«Involvement in the new capital projects like review of specifications, coordinating with the projects department, inspection of plant facilities after the completion of work; follow up with the contractor for attending the pending snags etc.
„«Assisting the department in evaluating project design proposals put up regarding the Instrumentation and control systems of new and refurbishment projects.
„«Arranging of spares, equipment, tools etc. required for the maintenance activities.
„«Inspection of spare parts supplied for capital projects at stores.
„«Guiding the subordinates and utilizing them efficiently.

Bachelor¡¦s degree in electrical (control) engineering, Sudan University of Science and Technology- faculty of engineering- department of electrical engineering awarded in October 2005.
