Data Acquisition and Processing

Work Experience
• Presently working in ‘National Institute of Oceanography’ from Dec 2010 to till date:

Geophysicist in National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Donapaula Goa, India. where I am working in different project and my main responsibilities are :
• Processing 3D Marine seismic data of Krishna-Godavari Basin provided by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation using software ProMAX 3D ver 5000.0.3.0 under Red Hat Linux environment. Where the job involve Data loading, Geometry Merging, Preprocessing (Editing, Muting etc.), Parameter testing (TAR, DECON, NMO, FILTER), Deconvolution, Noise attenuation techniques (F-K filter, F-X Decon), CMP Sorting, Velocity analysis, NMO, Stacking and Migration.
• Participated in high resolution shallow seismic data acquisition onboard MV SRINIVASA for Kovvada, Srikakulam, A.P. and Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
• Processed high resolution single channel shallow seismic data acquired between Pannaikulam to Sri Lanka for the project ‘Marine geophysical and geological surveys to select suitable route for laying submarine HVDC cable overhead line for electrical grid connection between India-Sri Lanka’ sponsored by M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’. The data was processed using software ‘ProMAX-2D’.
• Interpreted high resolution single channel seismic sections of the above project for the total sediment thickness, and digitized the horizons (seabed and acoustic basement).
• Marine seismic data processing off Kovvada region (sponsored by M/s Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited) is in progress.
