Responsibilities:
„« Managing PROD databases for Abdullatif & Mohamed Al Fozan Group with Different environments including Oracle database versions 11gR2 with more then 800 users on Redhat Linux RHEL 5.
„« Installation & configuring/Designing for Oracle11g R2 RAC Setup, Configuring SSH for RAC nodes, configuring storage for RAC node.
„« Migrating Oracle Database from 10.2.0(10g R2) to 11.2.0(11g R2).
„« Maintained and Supported 24x7 production Database for fail over.
„« Performed Disaster recovery using DataGuard with RMAN backup tool.
„« Tested and validated Backup strategy (RMAN, Exports & Hot Backups).
„« Wrote shell scripts for Cold/Hot Backup (RMAN) and export import of full and partial database & scheduling it on Linux/Windows.
„« Decided the naming conventions of datafiles, redo log files, tablespaces and segments, schemas, space management etc & also deciding their size for Production , Development, Test environments.
„« Installed and configured Oracle Real Application Cluster(RAC) 11gR2 on RedHat Linux (RHEL) 5.
„« Installed and configured Oracle Enterprise Manager(OEM) on Real Application Cluster Database.
„« Regular Refresh of Stage and Dev instances from Production using Cold/logical Backup
„« Migrating Single instance(Non-RAC) to 4 node RAC Database using RMAN.
„« Managing Oracle Real Application Database with 4 nodes.
