NATURE OF WORK

• Inspection of laying, testing & commissioning of HV/LV & Instrumentation Cables in Underground cable trenches, Duct banks, above ground cable trays & overhead structures;
• Inspection of Installation, testing & commissioning of MCC, PCC, PMCC, HV/LV Switchboards (415V, 11kV, 33kV);
• Inspection of Installation, testing & commissioning of Power transformers (132KV/33KV, 5MVA) Distribution transformers.
• Inspection of testing HV & LV Switchgear like Circuits Breakers, Bus bars, Current Transformers, Voltage Transformers, Changeover Switches.
• Inspection of Installation, Testing and Commissioning of AC & DC UPS along with Battery Bank,
• Inspection of Installation, testing & commissioning of Plant lighting/Area lighting in Hazardous area.
• Inspection of Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Earth Pits.
• Inspection of Installation, testing & commissioning of F & G system including Flame Detectors, Gas Detectors, MACs, Siren, Beacons, VESDA, HSSD etc.
• Inspection of security systems.

 Technical Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineer. 1992 – 1995
 HSC: Durai kamalam higher Secondary School 1991-1992
 SSC: Govt. Higher Secondary School 1990

• Saudi Aram co approved QC Inspector E&I (2007)
• Qatar Ras Gas approved QC Inspector E&I (2009)
• Qatar Petroleum approved QC Inspector E&I (2011)

 Co-ordinate for implementation of all QA/QC Procedures/ITPs and work instructions.
 Review Construction Schedule, Daily work schedule, Test and Inspection Schedule.
 Maintain a file of Plant Electrical drawings and Equipment manuals.
 Inspect all work to the latest Codes and Standards and approved drawings.
 Inspect major renovation and upgrade of existing facilities to approved engineering drawings.
 Review the Area Classification when plant modifications are made.
 Maintain a daily log book of inspection activities.


 Report substandard workmanship of contractor personnel to the Project Engineer or Area Maintenance Engineer for action.
 Ensure that Craftsmen making high voltage Splices or Terminations have correct valid Certificates, Prior to commencing work on cable repairs.
 Liaise with the customer representative, where required for the conduct of day to day quality related activities of the project.
 Carry out inspection and test requirements of the project at stages as per the PQP/ITP plan and subcontract requirements.
