Strategic Planning/Project Controls/Finance Manager

To find a position in a reputable company whereby I can apply 20+ years of relevant experience in a professional environment, in a Senior/Managerial role. I would prefer to work in Egypt, but I am also willing to relocate to the UAE.

20+ years experience specializing in the fields of Business & Financial Management and Consultancy, Business / Project Controls, Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Costing & Pricing, Policy Implementation & Control, ERP Implementation, Cost Estimating, Cash Management, and Risk Management. I lived and worked in the US for 10 years after graduating from AUC (Egypt) in 1991. While in the US I worked full-time (8+ years with Bechtel Corp., Power Division, as Cost Engineer/Project Controller), and attended the University of Maryland part-time in preparation for a Masters degree in International Finance. I moved back to Egypt in 2001 and have since held various Financial and Managerial positions with several reputable organizations, both multi-national and local.
I believe my CV will demonstrate that I have considerable experience in several other industries, and due to my solid technical knowledge and strong business acumen I am able to quickly learn and smoothly transition into new industries, technologies and environments. Throughout my career I held various cross-functional roles, besides the aforementioned, such as Business Development, Project Scheduling / Planning, Economic Research & Analyses, and Human Resources, which further demonstrates my versatility. I also speak Arabic fluently, although English is my mother tongue.
I am viewed as a dynamic generalist with a broad and open-minded skills set and mentality as acquired with long exposure to multi-cultural environments and inherent personal values; I welcome change and value diversity. I have held several positions that required me to work directly with senior management and shareholders and have a proven track record of being a key member of strategic decision making teams. Other personal traits such as outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and presentation skills have greatly helped me succeed in my career. I also possess superior computer skills, including extensive experience with Hyperion, MS Excel, among other ERP and software packages.
Finally, through hands-on experience and other formal education and training I have effectively adopted international best practice approaches (IFRS, GAAP, SOX, ISO 9000, etc.), and have acquired a broad understanding of how to synergize and run several aspects of a business.

MBA - Maastricht School of Management, Egypt: started studies part-time in 2005 and is currently on hold.
MA - University of Maryland, USA: International Finance - completed the program's major requirements, but did not complete studies due to heavy work demands.
BA - American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt: Business Administration, Graduated in 1991
