QC chemist

Looking for a challenging career opportunity in the field of Chemistry and/or QC in a well established company to improve my knowledge, skills and utilize my previous work experience and academic background.

Quality Control Supervisor, Shell Oil Egypt (Nov.2011 – till now)
Monitoring all manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with company standards through statistical process control analysis. Performing scrap analysis to identify root causes and set action plans to minimize waste. Managing repacking and reblending processes for non-conforming products to minimize written-off products. Ensure proper investigation, follow up and documentation on out of compliance situations. Analyzing suppliers’ performance and managing the supplier relations regarding quality issues.
Responsible for maintaining the quality management system, ISO 9001 by proper documentation, testing, and practice. Supervise / coordinate maintenance on laboratory equipment.

Research & Development Specialist, MAC CARPET (Mar.2008 – Oct.2010)
Developing new products to the company. Sharing in new materials and new supplier's approval. Secure alternative new local and imported materials with the aim of cost reduction and supplier sustainability. Enhancement of existing products. Work closely with production & planning departments to drive and evolve the product direction while maintain quality levels. Sharing the responsibility for technical aspects of regulatory compliance. Provide a Product specification sheet including the BOM (Bill Of Material), tolerances in appearance inspection, color fastness requirements, physical and chemical properties. Share in elaborating the company procedures. Share in elaborating the company working instructions.

QC Chemist - Central Lab Dept., Mac Carpet (July 2007 – Feb.2008)
Inspection of raw materials & sub assemblies of printing section & ensure that it meets the specifications. Responsible for final goods colorfastness tests. Follow Monthly Calibration Schedules for the Laboratory Equipments. Cooperate with the Operation Development unit in the development of printing section.
