WORKING EXPERIENCE
2010-todate.

Working as a Shift Engineer at Jacobsen Thermal Power Plant Ltd Namanve (Wartsila Uganda ltd) generating 50MW of thermal power.

Key result areas.
• Ensuring close monitoring of the demands from the dispatcher (UETCL); and ensuring that the demands are met in due time.
• Communicating with dispatching & ensuring close monitoring of the load demands & achieving times (as per request and contracts with the grid operator)
• Maintaining operation data log sheet, preparing reports, engine running schedule as per instruction by Operations Manager.
• Providing necessary hand on training; communicating effectively with the shift team,
• Ensuring that all the operational procedures in place are closely respected.
• Ensuring that the “Work Authorization Process” (LO/TO) is strictly followed for all Equipment under my responsibility. Duly inform the Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager and the Barge Manager of the anomalies noted.
• Acknowledge & Ensure proper implementation of advices/instructions from Hierarchies.
• Closely monitoring the quality, stock and levels of Fuel Gas, Lubricating Oil, Water, and others.
• Ensuring proper and continual training of personnel under my responsibility.
• Bringing in inputs and contributing in activities so as to improve the Operating Conditions of the Plant.


2007-2009 Appointed and worked as a Generator Electrical Technician at Aggreko International power Uganda at Mutundwe generating 50MW of thermal power.

Key result areas

 Handling, repairing and maintenance of 1MVA diesel generators.
 Carrying out ‘A’ and ‘B’ services.
 Working as a Control Engineer for thermal power generation of 50MW.



2006-2007 Appointed on contract basis and worked as an Electrical Technician for Hima
Cement Ltd Company.

• Handling Industrial installation and maintenance, Three and single phase wiring,of ac and dc circuits, etc.

• Service, maintain and repair of Electronic Control systems involving programmable logic controllers and frequency drives controlling motor speeds.

• Operation of 1MVA Diesel generators supplying power to the Cement Plant during grid failure.
