I Suvendu Mohapatra was born in Cuttack, Orissa, India on March 25, and 1976.

Currently I am working as Chief Manager at Sabarmati Gas Ltd (a Joint venture between BPCL and GSPC).I joined SGL in 2007;

I have over 11 years of technical and managerial experience in the entire value chain of the natural gas business of the natural gas business, including city gas distribution, gas pipeline transportation and LNG re- gasification.

I am earlier worked with Gujarat State Petronet Ltd, Adani Gas Ltd, and GSPC LNG Ltd.

I have most experience in City Gas Distribution Business, having unique opportunity to be part of the team in successfully setting up then newly formed companies like GSPL, Adani energy and SGL.

I have the exposure of working with state and central public sector companies, private corporate and in joint venture companies.

My areas of expertise include project management, engineering, operations, automation metering and SCADA, quality and safety aspects of natural gas projects.

I hold bachelors and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering. I am also a post graduate in petroleum management.

I am an experienced Project and operation Management professional with strong leadership and relationship-building skills currently assigned the job of designing, implementation and maintenance of HSE management system for Sabarmati Gas considering latest legislative and regulatory requirements.
