MECHANICAL ENGINEER

 Working as a Mechanical engineer in (CONTROMET INTERNATIONAL FZC, QATAR)

PROJECT: RAS LAFFAN EMERGENCY AND SAFETY COLLEGE
CLIENT:. QATAR PETROLEUM
CONTRACTOR: KIDDE FIRE TRIANER (USA)
ROLE:
o -Engineering supports for shop drawings P&ID and PFD.
o -Stress analysis in piping (TEST PROCEDURE: FUEL SPILL PIT).
o -P&ID and PFD updates as per the Qatar Petroleum comments.
o -Mechanical Equipment Layout and Installation Assemblies.
o -Pipe supports calculation to submit the Qatar Petroleum for Approval.


Isometric Drawings updates as per the Qatar Petroleum comments.
 Generating documents such as General arrangement drawings, Equipment layout, Nozzle orientation sheets for the different mechanical equipment’s, Piping Layouts, isometrics, special support sketches, etc.
 Acting as a Checker for the technical deliverables for a project .Ultimately being responsible for smooth & timely executing the project with high level technical accuracy meeting with clients expectations.
 Manpower planning as per schedule, Progress reporting, Co-ordination with other departments in-house, with the Client & Vendors.
 Reviewing of the pipe line routing, supporting and civil structure by using AutoCAD.
 Design of pipe (thickness calculations) as per various codes (ASME 31.3 etc).
 Calculating Bill of material from the P & ID.
 Generating line list, critical line list for stress analysis from the P & IDs.
 Coordinating with Mechanical department for the freezing of nozzle orientation, vessel clip orientation for pipe supports, platform.
 Design module (Piping, Equipment, Structure, etc).
 Well acquainted with the different international codes and standards used in the process industries like ASME, ANSI, and API etc.
 Supervision of Piping & Mechanical Equipment Erection, Fabrication, Testing & Commissioning.
 Piping Material Selection/Specification/Valve Data Sheets.
 Pipe support and Rack design, Expansion loop design.
 Static and Dynamic analysis of piping systems (Sustained loads, Occasional loads & Expansion loads)
