Plant : CA-EDC plant. (Chlor Alkali- Ethylene Dichloride)
Capacity : 2458 MTPD Caustic & 840 KMT EDC
Technology :1.Chlorine production with Electrolyser 190KA load-
UDHE Technology. & Diaphragm Cell.
2.Caustic production with Tripple Effect Evaporator-
Swenson Technology.
3.EDC with HTC & LTC Chlorination-European Vinyl
Corporation (EVC) Technology.
DCS System: Tata Honeywell.
Department : Production (Operation)
Responsibilities:
Handling overall responsibilities as a DCS PANEL OPERAROR. Do all function like
Measures variables of all parameters, view alarm information, SP, Alarm Dead Line
Consideration, operates all Control room visual and Annunciation Alarm signals and
can spot any malfunctions in operating Facilities.
Emerengency & high priority alarm acknowledge & initiate corrective actions when
required. PV source with Manual- Auto, Cascade Mode, PVHI, PVLO, Snap shot, use
Engineering Key to change or modify, making Groups and also non key Locked
Groups, System Menu function observation of Trend Display, center line trend,
Hair line trend etc.
Also safe starts up-Shut Down through panel, managing
Team work, follow up with “British DuPont Safety”, also ISO 9001, ISO 14000,
ISO 18001 & OSHA rules follows.

In Operation handling Ion exchange column, Regeneration of column, Brine Clarifier,
Heaters, Salt Dissolver Scrubber Ejectors Anthracite & Polish Filter, sludge handling from Decanters & Vacuum drum filter, Derator column for recovered water, Tripple Effect Evaporatos, Cooling Tower, HCl Furnace Incinerator, Drying tower with
Packed column, two stage Centrifugal Chlorine compressor, High Temp. & Low Temp. Chlorination, Ammonia & Hydrogen Compressor etc.
Issue safe, hazard & confined space work permit, as per the maintenance planner,
Following working procedure and safety regulation, handling daily Shift meetings,
Put all notification regarding Maintenances of medium, High urgent, emergency,
Breakdown in SAP, reporting for Near Miss, Incident Report, BOAST-Behaviour
Observation & Safety Training.
