Instrument technician

Maintenance of process Control Instrumentation Erection, Commissioning and Schematic Loop Checking.alarm and Trip system, routine checkup of plant instruments, calibration of instrument Test Equipments.

1. I have good exposure in process control instrumentation such as electronics, Pneumatics used throughout the plant. In GULF PETROCHEMICAL INTDUSTRIAL COMPANY I did calibration of Electronics and pneumatic instruments, control valves etc. I have carried out plant preventive maintenance job, trouble shooting of electronics and pneumatics instruments in the site. I also have good experience in the repair of instruments during the plant shutdown and to provide accurate maintenance .History and closeout reports of all completed works as per company requires. I was assigned to do the erection, calibration, loop check and commissioning of instruments of gas turbines Siemens make.
2. ARAB SHIP REPAIR YARD I had to hand on experience in fault finding rectification and maintenance of total plant interlock of residue Gas Compressor panel, Fire water pump control panel, instrument air compressor control panel, emergency shutdown panel.
3. I have experience in calibration, servicing, overhauling, fault finding and trouble shooting of pneumatic instruments like pneumatic controller (FISHER&YOKOGAWA), Pneumatic pressure and flow transmitters, pneumatic recorders and electronic instruments.
4. Experience in fire and safety system like smoke and gas detectors, halo control panel, break glass fire alarm, LPG sphere, sprinkling system.
5. In GPIC Desalination Plant Project, I was assigned to supervise and assist the Technicians carrying out calibration, erection, loop check and commissioning of instruments of Two Desalination Units.
6. In GPIC I was assigned to check the plant alarm and Trip system, routine checkup of plant instruments, calibration of instrument Test Equipments as per Q&A procedure and overhauling of control valves.
7. In GPIC project I was assigned to do supervise the erection, calibration, loop check and commissioning of instruments of gas turbines (Siemens make). Also I was assigned the job of meggering level 2 cables (High voltage cables) and carry out the first energisation of field panels, MOV’s and motors from electrical sub-station feeders.
