Tank farm operation in oil and gas refineries.

Duties & Responsibilities
Includes checking the line-up of Movements through OMIS, monitoring of Tank parameters through ATG readings, tank preparation for dispatch to various units and to offsite terminals (rail and road terminal & marine terminal), which includes tank settling, mixing, Product sampling, water draining etc. Co-ordination with units, terminals and Laboratory.
Having exposure to all types of above ground underground storage tanks and vessels, i.e. floating roof, cone roof, internal floating roof, dome roof etc.

Also handled LPG Horton Sphere operations. Involved in HYDROTESTING & COMMISIONING of LPG Spheres and HYDROGEN Spheres.

I have carried out following assignments:

Was involved in Pre-commissioning activities of Tank Farm including Pigging, Water Flushing, Air Purging, Inserting, Hydro testing, Leak Testing of pipe lines & supervision of boxing up of tanks, etc.

As a member of Commissioning Team, was involved in commissioning of Tanks and Horton spheres, taking trail-run of pumps, etc.

Was a member of Pre-commissioning Safety Review Team, whose scope included detection of general constructional deficiencies relating to Tank Farm Systems and suggestion of ways to eliminate the same

2003-2006 : Diploma in Petro-Chemical Engineering from Nandha Polytechnic College, Erode under Board of Technical Education Tamil Nadu with 76.5%

2003 : Pre-Degree from Vivekananda Hr. Sec. School Pondicherry with 63%
