Shipping / Logistics Manager

I am full of ambition, hope and power. I am self-motivated, and eager to find the job where I can give most, make full use of my skills and abilities (also learn new things), and satisfy my unlimited ambition.

A) From October 2002 till now : Shipping / Logistics Manager performing the following tasks:

1- Managing and supervising logistics activities for all export / import shipments including the following :
- Preparation and issuance of bills of lading.
- Following up import/Export shipments ensuring smooth procedures, customs formalities, proper transportation / trucking (for "door to door" shipments)
- Negotiating Shipping / Commercial terms .
- Following up arrival of bills of lading for import shipments.
- Contacting clients / clients’ customs brokers for proper notification of shipments’ arrival and to ensure smooth customs clearance .
- Coordination between clients and shipping lines (carriers ) for smooth delivery of cargo.
- Appointment of agents abroad and all relevant logistics activities
- Arranging inland trucking / transportation for clients’ cargoes.
2- Building marketing plans and strategies for achieving business growth targets.
3-Auditing and supervising the preparation of disbursement accounts and statements of accounts for shipping lines represented by our company.
4-Supervising operational matters relating to Suez Canal Transit including crew change, bunker supply, provisions supplies …etc.
5- Supporting the implementation of SOP's for import and export operations.
6- Interviewing new candidates applying for my Dept.

B) From October 1998 till October 2002 : Executive, Accounts Payable Controller, Foreign agents' accounts controller, and Claims Handler or same company performing following tasks :

- Account controller for foreign suppliers (Accounts Payable).
- Claims handler (details in attached C.V).
- Handling Insurance on owned and chartered vessels.
- Preparation of hire accounts for chartered vessels.
- Arranging bunker supply to vessels.
- Controlling and Auditing disbursement accounts of agents' outside Egypt.

1) Master degree in International Transport and Logistics ( in English Language) at the Arab Academy For Sciences, Technology, and Maritime Transport.
Graduation Grade : Excellent with honor degree ....
GPA : 4 out of 4

NB : I scored Excellent Grade in all subjects studied and ranked top of all Master students in the Academy . (All the above is certified and documented).

2) Bachelor degree in commerce – Accounting Department- English Section Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration ( Helwan University )
