The Company

This is the chemical tanker arm of an Indonesian based shipping company, with over 60 ocean going chemical tankers, making it among the world’s top five chemical tanker owners.



Experience Gained

• Doing chartering for about 8-10 Chemical Tankers which trade globally.
• Analysing and studying various shipping markets. And following regular market reports.
• Regular clients visit and monitoring their cargoe movements.
• Handling COA’s (nominations), Time chartered contracts and fixing cargoes on spot basis. Monitoring freight and other payments. Updating open position to the brokers / charterers.
• Performing voyage calculations, preparing stowage plan & voyage costs.
• Assisting demurrage team for solving pending issues. And co-ordinating with operation and accounting staff on freight invoices.
• Preparing various cargo supply chains.
• Handling daily operation for 2 ships.
• Regularly co-coordinating with Charters and Brokers, and monitoring cargo movements.
• Making agency appointments & following up with charter party terms and the fixtures.
• Preparing bunker supply checklists, tank cleaning material & fresh water arrangements.
• Monitoring vessel movements, loading & discharging process.
• Regularly updating ship management and monitoring performance.
• Regularly visiting vessels under the organization’s fleet. Visiting major ports in India, Middle East Gulf and Indonesia.
• Assisting operations department for various operational matters in Middle East and India region.
