Electrician / Maintenance & Installation

Hello,

My name is Alan McNaughton.

I was previously employed with KBR on an Onshore Drilling contract in The Danakil Depression, Ethiopia on a 4 on 2 off rotation as the Maintenance Lead / Electrician. My role was to supervise all trades (electrical, plumbing, hvac, joiners) in carrying out their daily, weekly and monthly PPM and PRM's. I had to ensure all risk assessments and permit to works were completed and the isolation register was up to date. I had to order all materials for the maintenance crew and keep the office admin in order.
I was also a hand’s on electrician on the camp and drill site for installation, maintenance, fault finding and breakdowns.

Previous to this job I was the Electrical Foreman on a military base in Kabul, Afghanistan on a 12 on 3 off rotation. Again I was responsible for the day to day maintenance and running of the camp local workforce.

I have completed my BOSIET, MIST and Norwegian Chute training and hold an Oil & Gas UK medical.

I am a hard worker, good at my job and always looking to experience new challenging roles in challenging enviroment’s. In Ethiopia I was working in temperatures of over 50 degree Celsius with extreme humidity making the working shift extremely difficult. In Afghanistan, the constant threat of rockets was always making it very difficult to keep your concentration and patience on a daily basis.

I am looking to secure work Offshore / Onshore anywhere in a job that suits my trade - Electrician / Maintenance & Installation.
