Shift Manager

Experienced cement kiln burner, operated the vertical roller mill, roller press, and the ball mill.Highly knowledgeable in the cement manufacturing process as shift manager.Looking for a career change as an operator or related role in oil and gas.

• Take a lead in the enforcement of Lafarge safety rules and guidelines through Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) while ensuring adherence by his team.

• Monitors the operations and optimizes all aspects of raw mill systems, kiln systems, and finish mill systems in compliance with Company quality standards and requirements.

• Coordinates the activities of all services departments directed at keeping the production plants in good operating condition.

• Follow operational procedures (SOPs) in the execution of all tasks in the plant.

• Carry out equipment energy isolation according to LOTOTO procedure.

• Receive the equipments after maintenance/repairs from execution team ensure that all post maintenance activities including cleaning by maintenance crew are done.

• Manages the day-to-day running of the plant, on shift basis, respecting the KPIs through setting of priorities and direction to plant shift team.

• Coordinates activities of maintenance team on night shift and call for help when needed (call out procedure).

• Controlling of the results and initiation of corrective actions where required.

• Participates in the planning and organization of short and long term plant stoppages.

• Controls the re-bricking of the kiln and other works during major shutdowns.
• Monitors the performance of contractors on the plant.

• Controls production activities to comply with group environmental standards and maintain good housekeeping
• Co-ordinate the operation in the shift of reclaimer, raw mills, kiln, and cement mills or other areas.
• Co-ordinate maintenance activities, solving production related problems in the shift.
• Operate, trouble shoot and take actions to run the equipment on steady trend on continuous basis.
• Achieve optimum fuel efficiency, power consumption and minimizing manpower utilization.
• Cost reduction by modifying and improving the process.
• Ensure quality of the dispatched product to conform to quality specifications and implement safety and ISO systems in the department.
• Executive initiatives for enhancing production and reducing cost for production.
