Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical engineering graduate (2:1) seeks a challenging position with a major company engaged in engineering, design, production, manufacturing and automation.

• Checking the clipper to avoid defect of the product
• Arrangement of cutter in the prescript manner
• Making sure the belt is moving the product effectively
• Changing the CNC program as product changes

2007-2010 Orascom Construction Ind. Nig. Ltd (Technical Officer)
• Carrying out the survey, design and setting out of the project plan.
• Liaising with the client, contractors and local authorities over what to do and what has to be done with approval from my manager.
• Cooperating with designers and manufacturers on the research and development of new equipment and systems.
• Allocating equipment, personnel and resources effectively to solve problems and achieve objective.

•Qualified Security officer hold an SIA license which gave me opportunity to work at various stadiums in the UK controlling crown at events for many years.
•Worked at the last census in the UK as a Census Coverage survey doing a door to door interview of people.
•Work with the university at the last survey scheme where the number of students attending classes at various time were needed.
•Volunteer at the Bolton Lad and Girls club, mentoring the kids in various sporting events.

Information Technology (Engineering Packages)
• Excellent working knowledge of Pro E using it to do 2D and 3D drawings as evident in all my assignments in Engineering Design.
• Excellent knowledge of Edgecam in doing Simulation in manufacturing and machining processes as evident in CAD/CAM works.
• Sound knowledge of PLC both writing and running the program also CAD/CAM.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in analysing and idealization of complex component such as frames beams and bars.
• Using Preactor to do scheduling and planning in my automation works.

Communication
• Led large group (30+) of prospective students and parents around the campus on university open days as part of my Student Ambassador role.
• Successfully trained a new member of staff to perform well and deliver high levels of customer service on the bar. My supervisor praised me for my excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Being the President of Nigerian student association at the university I am the link between the University, Union and the Nigerian students.
Teamwork
Adapted and integrated successfully into different culture, as a Technical officer at orascom where 80% of my colleagues are Egyptians and also working at various events in the UK most notable: Manchester United, Manchester City Football grounds and Manchester Arena at various musical events.
