Seismic & Well Data Administrator (Jr. Management Cadre):
As Document Controller, Seismic & Well Data Administrator for RIL E&P Business.
Creation of documentation and continuous improvement of all data loading/Cataloging workflows liaising with the Information Management department of incoming data.
Developed company owned EDMS (Electronic Data Management System) for RIL E&P business for Well Log Data/documents & General Documents
Worked on a) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Project with development of required ideas of firm through Catamaran Software, b) Biggest tape Transcription Project across RIL, E&P Business.
Managed electronic and hardcopy documents in different formats for seismic and wells data Separation criteria like Raw logs, Processed logs, Reports, softcopy, Wireline, LWD logs, etc…
Working on oil & gas industries related Softwares like OpenWorks, GeoFrame, petral, paradigm EPOS, Geolog, Demux(DPTS London) etc…
Handling of Internal & External Data issue, With outside Venders, Users, DGH & partners.
Maintaining, Preservation & storage of Seismic & Well Data received from vendors. Including quarterly/Half yearly Visit to Hyderabad Disaster Recovery.
Cataloging seismic data & Well Data in different formats and Medias: 3590, 3590E, 3592, CD, DVD, 4MM, 8MM -: For Seismic Data we have total 38 attributes in DB for each entry. Classify the data considering the Block name and relevant previous shipments. Make dataset and tape level entry in the database with assigned object numbers. Check & update the records and checking for duplicates.
Data QC & Tracking -: All newly received data tapes/CDs/DVDs/Hard disks checking. Confirm the data readability with the application. To confirm the mentioned number of files, lines are there in the tape. To confirm the file range and SP range, Inlines & Xlines are correctly mentioned on tape label. Cross checking with the label & transmittal information, to retrieve the missed data attributes from the tape label. If any discrepancy found with the actual data & label information, raise the issue with the respective vendors & Asset managers for the Tape replacement or Data correction.
If data is to going to Disaster storage keeps it separately and moves
Preparing weekly & monthly MIS reports.
