Financial Accountant

I would like the opportunity to work in an organisation that I can add value to while gaining valuable experience.

I have worked with PricewaterhouseCOopers (Jamaica) Since August 2006. During my years at PwC, I was introduced to various industries including that of the petroleum trade.

1) Developed audit plans and co-ordinate audit fieldwork to meet tight regulatory reporting deadlines for clients within various industries.
2) Supervised, directed, coached and review work of junior team members. On assignments team may vary from 4 to 9 team members.
3) Liaise with clients, managers and partners to resolve audit issues.
4)Prepared management reports highlighting areas of weakness in controls and make recommendations to improve operating efficiency the client’s internal controls.
5)Preparation and review of Financial Statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards [IFRS]. Financial Statements preparation includes consolidated financial statements including acquisition and disposals of subsidiary within the financial year

I am a graduate of ACCA and is now an affiliate of ACCA since 2006. Prior to completing my ACCA I had completed Advance Level Secodary Studies and have obtained passes in Mathematics, Accounting and Economics. (University of Cambridge)

I am also a part-time lecturer/tutor of ACCA classes. I am willing to relocate. I am genuinely interested in obtaining gainful employment while being able to experience the world. I am committed to whatever task I undertake and ensure that deadlines are met.
