Seeking a challenging position as QA/QC engineer/welding inspector in oil and gas sector.
Professional Experience
Construction Drawings such as P&ID, Piping Isometrics, Equipment, Structural, GAD.
Familiar with Material Inspection, dimensional check and documentation as per Construction Materials Standards such as ASTM/ASME SA 106, SA 515, SA516, SA105, SA 312, SA 240, SA 234 etc and with ANSI standards of B 36.10, B16.5, B 16.9.
Thorough knowledge in Welding Standards of ASME Section IX and API 1104. Familiar with Welding Procedure Qualification, Welder Qualification, P numbers, Selection of Electrodes, Weld Visual Inspection etc.
Good knowledge in Radiographic Interpretation of weld joints, Ultrasonic Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection and Penetrant Test, Reporting and Documentation.
Fabrication of Piping, Structure, Pressure vessels and other Equipments, Documentation of History Sheet, Test Pack Clearing etc.
Witnessing of welder qualifications testing and procedures qualification testing
Witnessing any remedial repair welding
Reviewing of the welding summery reports
Checking the hydrostatic test packages for NDT compliance prior to testing
Advising the site subcontractors with regards to welding and testing
Monitor any Post Weld Heat Treatment on site and review the completed test reporting
Selection of welds for non destructive testing
Recording and listing of defective welds
Monitor the control and issue of welding electrodes
