As the System Engineer, I was the primary admin responsible for the architecture, implementation, and support off all UNIX, Linux, VMware, Xenserver, XenAPPS, SAN and NAS resources worldwide for Darwish Bin Ahmed and Sons group of companies. This included the corporate data center in Abu Dhabi, as well as remote offices in all regions of UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, and Saudi Arabia.

Primary tasks included:

Provided 1st and 3rd level UNIX, Windows and Linux support to all business units, including software development desktops, workstation and servers; as well as corporate infrastructure.
Provided systems level support for Linux and Windows based corporate application like Oracle EBS, Oracle Database, Soffront CRM, Hyperion for BI application, Rental Management software MCS-RM and s2000 for service inventory.
Designed and documented corporate standards and best practices for implementation and support of x86¬ and x86_64 based Linux and Windows workstations and servers.
