Professional Experience
Major Responsibilities as RF Optimization Engineer are as follows:
• Conducted TSS for new sites & initial optimization worked of individual sites i.e. drive test and analyzed the drive test results to see whether the coverage, RX, TX Power, C/I and handoff to the neighbor sites is according to the planned results.
• Maintenance of KPIs for the assigned BSC’s and carrying out Parameter Trials, audits. Optimizing BSC in order to meet Monthly & Annual KPI targets as well as carrying out the routine and issue based Drive Test of major and remote cities using TEMS Investigation and troubleshooting problems encountered.
• Troubleshooting & Optimizing worst cells based on DCR, CSSR, HOSR & MPD on daily basis by using NOKIA/Optima stats reports to achieve assigned targets.
• City level redesign Activity (parameter changes, Frequency retuning, tilts & azimuth) in order to improve the KPI’s and traffic sharing between the neighboring sites without affecting coverage/traffic.
• Performed BCCH, BSIC, & Neighbor Planning.
• Verification of implemented frequency plan using MAPINFO & field measurements.
• Responsible for testing, acceptance & Integration of new sites. Inter departmental Co-ordination with Implementation/Project Control/NOC/NSS/Operations to complete the Pre-Launch Process.
• Analyzing the daily KPIs report and to resolve HOSR, DCR, sick cell issues.
• Responsible for Site AUDIT & Verifications for new sites with TEMS investigation 8.0.3.
• Conducting all Optimization Tests Dedicated Mode, Idle Mode, Short call Mode and Scanning.
• EDGE &GPRS (Uplink/Downlink) Testing, TRX Testing and MAIO Verification.
• Analyzing DT Log files using TEMS and MAP INFO Post Processing and Generating Reports.
• Done Rehomings for BSC & MSC and resolved issues related to call establishment, NBR definition, cross connectivity, call mutenss & Handover/LAC Update Failures.
• Physical Optimization for existing sites and proposing antenna azimuth, tilt and height changes, especially for low utilized sites.
• Troubleshooting worst cells with congestion, call drop, handover, KPI and quality related issues.
• Conducted benchmark Drive Test for the Major Cites on Quarterly basis and generate reports in order to evaluate the Qos of Telenor in comparison with the other GSM networks in Pakistan.
