Professional Experience
- Recording daily journal entries (A/P, A/R, FA, G.L)
- Reconciling bank statements on a weekly basis
- Reconciling Libya, Iraq, Oman, Yemen and Egypt current accounts on a monthly basis
- Preparing vendor statement and handling any needed reconciliations
- Preparing customer statements and following up on collections
- Recording swaps and forward deals and make a revaluation on a monthly basis
- Keeps the directors updated of account balances on a monthly basis
- Prepare debit and credit notes for inter-company transactions
- Handling bank deposits, and responsible for petty cash
- Responsible for accounting and maintaining the fixed asset system including additions and disposals; maintaining asset and depreciation reports and reconciliations
- Monthly closing and preparation monthly financial statements (Income Statement & Balance sheet)
- Participation in Group consolidation
- Assist the Group Chief Accountant in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Assists external auditors in their review and analyses of Company financial records by providing requested information and explaining financial procedures and practices
- Monthly closing in terms of accounting for fair value adjustments
- Review draft financial statements
- Travelled to our branch in Libya to provide the support for our staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned
